I've been building websites for over 20 years and running Northern Web Dev for more than 15. It's just me here, and that's how I like it.
You'll work directly with the person designing your pages, writing the code, and looking after the site when it goes live.

It started with figuring things out.
I built my first website to see if I could. Then I wanted to know why the layout broke, how to make it faster, and how people were supposed to find it. I kept going.
Along the way, I saw businesses paying for work they didn't understand and results they weren't getting. I started helping a few of them sort it out. That eventually became Northern Web Dev.
I still like being the person who gets into the details and makes things work. New websites, WordPress, online stores, an app someone left broken. If there's a problem to figure out, I'm interested.
I'm based in Ontario and work with businesses across Canada and the US. You don't need to be down the road for us to work well together.

We agree on the work and the price before I start. If the scope changes, we talk about it before it becomes a surprise.

If you don't need a rebuild, I'll say so. If something needs fixing, I'll show you why. I want you making decisions you feel good about.
I look after the technical side too.
I manage the servers my clients' sites run on. When something needs attention, you can talk to someone who knows the setup.
Server setup and maintenance
I configure and manage LiteSpeed and Apache, apply updates, and troubleshoot problems.
Security checks
Firewalls, brute-force protection, daily malware scans, and monitoring help me find and deal with issues.
Off-server backups
Backups are stored separately from the live site, so there's a recovery option when something goes wrong.
